First Devlog since Release!!! :-)

I figured it'd be a good idea to issue a quick  update here on itch, so here goes:

First, I wanna thank everyone for the support so far. The nice ratings, the donations, the follows, the super sweet comments. I really didn't expect any of that, so I'm really grateful for the support! It seriously means so much.

With that said, I do have an announcement to make. It may seem odd to update a demo with more content, but that's what I plan on doing. I'm going to update the demo to include the entirety of Chapter 1 of Divine Omen, totally free of charge.  If you've already played and you're worried about your save file, no problem! I'll ensure the saves stay compatible. It shouldn't be difficult to pull off.  As far as the date for that update goes...I'm not 100% sure just yet, but I'm shooting for October. I'll keep my socials updated on my progress and I'll likely come back here once I have a more concrete date. In the meantime, enjoy the demo :-) And maybe leave a nice comment or give the game a rating...only if you wanna though.....

One final thing...the game has been marked as NSFW since the page went live.  Attempting to make a community post, I noticed I was blocked from doing so as the game was tagged as NSFW. That prompted me to do more research, and I decided that the NSFW tag didn't really fit the project at all. It's certainly not an NSFW game in the traditional sense. There's blood, sure, but it's minimal. Crude language, yes, but nothing serious.  I'm just one guy, though, and if someone out there has a different opinion on my decision to remove the tag, please let me know. I mostly just wanted to discuss it 'cause I'm sure it looks shady removing the NSFW tag then making the announcement post :-) Not trying to dodge the rules at all, I just legitimately reevaluated and decided it benefitted the game to remove it and it also wasn't necessary in the first place.

TLDR: Big, big, big thank you for the support. Demo is getting a big update maybe in October. NSFW tag removed but not for evil reasons. Let me know if you think that was a mistake.

That's all for this update. Thank you all again and if you haven't yet, consider playing the game!!! People like it I think!!!

You're worrying about trifles... There's definitely nothing NSFW in the game yet. Although I personally hope that Avan will show a couple of intimate moments over time. Of course, within the limits that are comfortable for you as a person and a developer.

Thanks as always for the nice comment! You never know what will happen to poor Avan next...but maybe, just maybe...he will get a little romance ;-) And by no means am I trying to advertise on your comment, but you had expressed interest in this before so I am happy to let you know the Steam page for the game is officially up! The demo page will also be up shortly, within the next day if all goes well. Here's the link:

Thank you! I've added the game to my wishlist. And of course you should advertise your game! When the demo is available on Steam, players will be able to write reviews to support the development. A great topic for a second post ;)

As for intimate moments, as an experienced player, I just want to note that adult players are often discouraged by the fact that in games with a lot of heavy themes, romantic relationships are simply absent. Perhaps players should be given a choice - to play with them or without them, but personally I am very confused when the developer first drowns the characters in blood and mature suffering, and then suddenly I feel that the game is rated 12+ or even lower and the characters can't even hold hands... And we are not talking about the presence or absence of sex scenes (this is generally not important for an interesting game and relationships), just an adult attitude should be maintained in everything. This is an important part of the atmosphere.

You make a really great point! You see a lot of games and even movies and shows that delve into the darkest, goriest themes but they're terrified of showing a normal relationship in the middle of it all. Oftentimes, especially in the US where I'm from, we have no issue showing excessive violence onscreen but romance is much, much more heavily censored...it never made much sense to me. I'll definitely keep that in mind as I approach the later chapters in the game and explore Robin and Avan's relationship a little deeper!

That would be great! And thank you for your openness to the discussion. Some developers react very nervously to such comments. Maybe they were born geniuses, who knows? But seriously, I suspected something like that about American products. European developers look much more mature in this context. For example, my favorite Nova-box (from France) immediately amazed me with its game Along the Edge. After replaying this game, I just don’t want to go back to games for kids.

But I think this does not apply to your game. I will not distract you from development anymore. I wish you inspiration and patience.

Thanks as always for the nice discussion and the nice words! The completed first chapter will be here very soon! :-)
